"Marching Rams" return to Scranton for fifth consecutive year

For the fifth consecutive year, the Parkside “Marching Rams” have qualified for the Tournament of Bands Atlantic Coast Marching Band Championships to be held on November 11th and 12th at Lackawanna County Stadium in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The band qualified for the event via a second place finish at the Tournament of Bands Chapter 9 Championship, held this year at Queen Anne’s County High School in Centreville, Maryland, with a final score of 88.90. They also received specialty awards for music, visual presentation, percussion, and color guard.

The Atlantic Coast Championships will mark the end of a strenuous field show season that began in the first week of August with the group’s annual Summer Band Camp. The last performance of the season by the “Marching Rams” will be the Salisbury Christmas Parade on December 4, 2006.
