Caitlin Farley, Colorguard Instructor

A recent graduate of Towson University, Caitlin obtained her Bachelor of Science with an English major and Psychology minor. She attended Towson from 2007-2011. Currently she works as a manager at Hollister Co in Salisbury.

Caitlin’s experience with marching band began when she was in in 5th grade. Throughout middle school she went to Tournament of Band competitions and rooted her cousins on in the Parkside Marching Band. Caitlin started playing flute in the 5th grade and was a part of the Parkside Symphonic Band from 2004-2007 and spent two summers with the Salisbury Community Band.

Having danced since age 4, Caitlin found herself drawn more to the elements of colorguard rather than marching flute for the field show season. In 2003, she joined the Marching Rams as the only freshman colorguard. Caitlin was named captain during her junior and senior years, where she led the colorguard to their first High Auxiliary in years. In her senior year, she was interviewed by The Daily Times to help spread the word about colorguard in Wicomico County.

In 2007, Caitlin was also featured in Delmarva Youth for her involvement in numerous fine arts organizations in Salisbury.

After her time at Parkside, Caitlin was still loyal to the Marching Rams. She watched as her younger sister followed in her footsteps and attended all but few competitions for the next four years.
